    • Play and Learn Coach

      The YMCA of the Capital area is looking for Play & Learn Coaches at our A.C. Lewis YMCA! The Play & Learn Coach will guide children and their family members through structured and unstructured activities that build school readiness skills, strengthens relationships, and encourages curiosity and confidence. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education. Knowledge and experience working with youth and children ages 2-4 is preferred. Must be available during the 5-week programming sessions, which include Saturdays as part of the regular schedule. Starting pay is $15/hr!

    • Tennis Coach

      The YMCA of the Capital Area is looking for an energetic, dependable assistant tennis coach to help teach lessons at our Americana YMCA! The Assistant Tennis Coach will provide members and guests with quality professional tennis instruction to both juniors and adults as assigned by the Tennis Director. Seeking applicants with competitive tennis play experience. Assistant Coach 1 (high school level) and Assistant Coach 2 (college or higher level) positions are available. Pay is dependent on experience.

    • Extended Day Counselers

      The YMCA of the Capital Area seeks Extended Day Counselors at Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery School. This position will assist in the care taking and supervision of youth placed in YMCA care after the school day during the school year at the school site. The counselor will assist students with homework and provide fun hands-on and recreational activities for the students.


      Must be able to work Mon-Fri, 6:15 a.m.-7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.


      Knowledge & experience working with youth and children from ages 4-13 preferred; experience working in a structured youth program preferred; experience providing tutorial care and recreational activities to youth is preferred. Must pass drug screen and b/g check. Starting pay is $12/hr!
